News Archives // Archive Index // Latest NewsOakland Airport May Sell BART Tickets // October 24th, 2005This week, the Port of Oakland will decide if Oakland Airport will sell BART tickets. This would be a big convenience. Currently passengers must first ride AirBart before they can buy BART tickets at the Coliseum station. If the Port sells BART tickets directly, it will save riders one extra step. Instead of installing a ticket vending machine (cost: $60,000), the port will purchase $25,000 of pre-printed tickets and resell them.
