Armed Robbery Closes MacArthur Station // November 9th, 2005 - 2:00 pm

An armed robbery closed MacArthur Station Tuesday evening. The robbery occurred at 9:16 pm and the station was closed for over an hour. Trains were powered down to prevent the suspect from escaping via a departing train. BART police responded within three minutes and searched the locked down trains but the suspect was not found. Be alert when riding BART or at stations.

There was another incident at MacArthur station on Thursday. I'm going to post a news entry in a second, but first I wanted to test the new comment system.
