News Archives // Archive Index // Latest NewsBART Fares To Increase In 2006 // December 30th, 2005Starting the 1st of January, BART is raising fares by about 4% depending on the route travelled. "It will cost an extra 15 cents to 30 cents per ticket," according to BART spokesman Jim Allison. The prices for green and red discount tickets will also increase, but all previous tickets will not expire and remain valid. BART still offers high-value tickets at a discount of 6.25% and this is a good way to save on fares if you're a frequent rider.
