News Archives // Archive Index // Latest NewsBART Runs Until 3 And Other New Year's Travel Tips // December 31st, 2005Tonight BART is running extra trains 3 hours past when they are normally scheduled to stop. So be sure to celebrate safely and remember that you can always turn to BART as a way to get home. BART also is offering a special New Year's "Flash Pass", which provides unlimited rides all night for $6. Across the Bay Area, many transit systems are offering free or extended service to help New Years revelers, including MUNI, CalTrain, SamTrans and more. There are many alternatives to driving and I encourage everyone to stay off the roads. Lastly, AAA is offering an awesome service called "Tipsy Tow". This is a free service where AAA will tow you and your car home free, even if you're not an AAA member. Just call (800) 222-4357 (AAA-HELP) and tell the AAA operator, "I need a Tipsy Tow". There are some conditions, but I think this is a great and noble thing. Thanks AAA! Hope your New Year's celebration is grand and you have a safe night! Cheers, and here's to 2006!
